League Rules

Selby Cycling Club Leagues Rules 2025

Riders must be paid up, first claim members of Selby Cycling Club to participate in the points and speed leagues.

POINTS LEAGUE

●     Riders must complete a minimum of 4 SCC TTs.

●     Riders must provide support for at least one SCC activity (see below).

●     All riders receive 200 points after completing their first event of the season.

●     For each subsequent event they complete, riders are awarded 20 points.

●     Additionally, for each one-second difference against the time of the previous ride, a point is added if the new time is quicker and deducted if it is slower, up to a maximum of 60 points per event.

SPEED LEAGUE

●     Riders must complete at least 3 club TTs.

●     Riders must provide support for at least one SCC activity (see below).

●     A rider’s fastest three completed rides will be used to calculate placings based on average speed.

SUPPORTING

Opportunities are available throughout the year to provide support for club activities. Here are some ideas:

-       Provide assistance at the fortnightly SCC time trials.

-       Provide assistance as the SCC Open 10 Time Trial on 1 June 2025.

-       Enrol on the club’s committee or one of its sub-committees.

-   Become a ride leader.
